Salesforce Spring ‘22 Release – What’s New?
Salesforce is ready to kick off the year with another exciting release, which means we’d have a more robust set of features and functionality to play around with.
Yes, the Salesforce Spring ‘22 release is here!
And it is promising to take customer and employee experiences up a notch by enabling companies to work smarter and achieve success, working from anywhere.
Salesforce Spring ’22 Release Date
The Spring ’22 Release Preview has been available since January 7, so you must create an active sandbox on a preview instance to get hands-on with the new features available in the upcoming release. The Spring ’22 Release update is available since February 14.
Let’s dive into our take on the top features of this release.
Top 12 Salesforce Spring ‘22 Features

1. Multi-factor Authentication
To ensure a rock-solid security posture, from February 01, Salesforce will require all customers to enable multi-factor authentication (MFA) to access Salesforce products. This is one of the most effective ways to dodge common threats like phishing attacks and account takeovers.
2. Revenue Intelligence
Revenue Intelligence tool will be your sales team’s ally in driving more revenue, better forecasting, and building a stronger sales pipeline. You’d witness three new types of dashboards: Overview, Team Performance, and Sales Performance. Additionally, Tableau CRM dashboards and analytics are combined with Pipeline Inspection to enable users to easily create and visualize results in a pipeline progress flow chart.
3. Slack Huddles
Slack Huddles offer an audio-first way to collaborate with colleagues, customers, and partners in real-time inside a Slack channel or direct message. These huddles are a great way to reduce fatigue from back-to-back video calls.
4. Business Rules Engine for Public Sector
The Business Rules Engine for the Public Sector is a powerful tool for automation. It empowers program managers to efficiently build, test, and execute rules with a drag and drop, no-code interface.
5. Scoping Rules
Usually, specific settings should be applied to the different types of users. But now, Scoping Rules enable you to regulate what your users can see based on permissions you select. Scoping Rules will be available for custom and standard objects.
6. Orchestrator
The Salesforce Orchestrator is now generally available. With it, you can automate complex and multi-user business processes (internal and external users) with minimal or no coding.
7. Amend Multiple Records Inline
It is now easier to clean up data and update an array of statuses without rerunning your reports. This means, now you can save time by editing multiple records inline on the Report Run Page, all while keeping records updated.
8. Collaborative Forecasts
To streamline the forecast setup experience, now Forecast Types and Forecast Settings are available on one page. Additionally, to give sales leaders better visibility over their team’s forecast, it is now easy to witness week-over-week changes for each of the forecast categories. Not just that, now you can easily create forecasting KPIs using two ready-to-use calculated columns – Gap to Quota and Pipeline Coverage.
9. Enhanced Domains
With enhanced domains on your Salesforce Org’s My Domain, you can comply with the latest security standards, which means that your organization-specific My Domain Name is included in all URLs, including Salesforce and Experience Cloud sites.
10. Determine the Accurate Report Type for New Reports (Beta)
To simplify the process of finding the right report type, when creating a new report, you now have an enhanced report type selector. This selector enables you to access recently used report types. Also, you can view the fields and objects that are included with report types. This gives you an overview of which report types are standard/custom and helps you to manage the number of available report types by hiding the inessential ones.
11. Flow Trigger Explorer
The Flow Trigger Explorer tool provides an effective way to overview all of the flows that are associated with a specified object and that run when a record is created, updated, or deleted.
12. Enhanced Personal Information Management
To ensure that external users, such as community users shouldn’t access other users’ personal information, you can enable the Enhanced Personal Information Management feature. This feature provides a secure way to safeguard more personal identifiable information (PII) user record fields.
This release holds some highly anticipated enhancements that improve efficiency, enable users to build powerful automation, and extract more value from the Salesforce platform.
