Email Marketing Done Right With Mailchimp Master Template

Mailchimp is one of the best and most widely used platforms for email marketing. It’s simple, user-friendly, and has the most beautifully designed templates. It has a template library and all of its templates are included there by default. Mailchimp’s flexibility and ease of use are what make this platform a hit amongst marketers.

It’s great when you’re just starting out but what about when you’re a few steps ahead? For email marketers who have outgrown the simplicity of Mailchimp but still can’t let go, we read their minds. For those who have the need to customize stuff and add their own signature blend to each email they send, we’ve created a master email template. Here’s how it brings value to the table.

A master email template is usually created by including all the modules that can be used for creating events, webinars, roadshows, emails, etc. You can Add/Remove/Move the sections if you’re only using the default templates. Mailchimp, unfortunately, has a limitation to Show/Hide any of the modules. Therefore, creating a master email template was a bit of a challenge.

We then thought to ourselves, “Ain’t no mountain high enough!”, and came up with different approaches to define the modules as ‘editable’ so these can be Added/Removed as and when needed.

Here’s an example:

In case, we’d need to remove the Memberships module, we can use the Hide option and place it within each module, like this:

Once you hide the module, it will be deactivated and will not be visible in Preview mode.

If we’d need a cloned module, it can be done simply by clicking on the “+” sign, like this:

We’ve not only created this master template but also litmus-tested it and have successfully implemented it for our customers.
